The Deeds of Tempus A.

Tempus’ Current Deed Count: 25
    • Inspired after meeting the original Hero, began a March 2014 good deed reporting program to promote awareness of DH’s mission.
    • Suggested that awareness could increase significantly if heroes had DH business cards to hand out to good deed beneficiaries.
    • Treated friends to dinner after they begrudgingly built a snowman
    • Provided customer service compliment for Metrobus driver who helped me avoid an icy sidewalk.
    • Brought tea to office security guard after learning that she had a sore throat.
    • Helped a man collect the contents of his briefcase after they spilled onto the sidewalk.
    • Told a stranger heading to work that she had makeup smudged on her face. Turned out it was Ash Wednesday, but my intention was good.
    • Friend in another city broke her kneecap and can’t leave her apartment. Had her favorite restaurant deliver her favorite foods to her.
    • Helped a disoriented tourist with directions.
    • Hurriedly caught up to a woman who had dropped money and returned it to her before she got into an elevator.
    • Organized a dinner with a man and his crush. Endured the ensuing hug without showing my extreme discomfort. Sidenote – the latter is the most difficult act of heroism I have ever accomplished.
    • Brought muffins to guys that sleep in the park I walk through on my way to work.
    • Engaged in a lengthy conversation with an isolated Archives librarian who was clearly in need of someone to talk to.
    • Provided customer service compliment for store employee who spent way longer than necessary helping me find colorful outdoor gear.
    • Volunteered as a judge at a moot court prep tournament.
    • Recorded a video of friends singing Happy Birthday to send to another friend who recently moved abroad and was celebrating his birthday alone.
    • Gave lunch to a hungry man on the street.
    • Organized Dress for Success clothing drive at my office.
    • Restocked coworker’s candy drawer with her favorite candy knowing she would need comfort food upon arriving to work.
    • Helped the office cleaning man practice his English.
    • Provided tourists with several options for and directions to cheap hair cut places.
    • Renewed friend’s subscription to flower of the month club.
    • Gave pillow and blanket to woman who sleeps on the street outside of office.
    • Removed large volume of trash from animal nesting habitat in national park.
    • Helped a single mother pick up her belongings/collect her luggage at the airport after her baby made a mess.
