  • Bought lunch and a soda for a homeless man outside of my CVS
  • Noticed abandoned sunglasses at a lunch spot and searched the restaurant to return them to the (hopefully) rightful owner.
  • Held the door open on an elevator for someone to get in as she walked down the hallway.
  • Organized a morale and team-building project for her coworkers.
  • Let someone in front of me in line at Starbucks because he looked rushed.
  • Gave a lost person directions.
  • Picked up a friend at 1 am on a work night from an international flight to prevent late night cabs with lots of suitcases.
  • Made an awesome sandwich (grilled cheese with tomatoes and fresh mozzarella) for a friend coming off a long flight.
  • Picked up a friend on my way to work to take to work for his first day so that he wouldnt have to get sweaty walking to the metro.
  • Helped someone get the medical care that she needed immediately rather than waiting weeks
  • Brought my mom coffee in the morning to her office as a surprise after a long commute so she could start her day energized
  • Helped a recent college graduate with her post-college job search, using my knowledge as one who possesses an undergraduate architecture degree
  • Watched a stranger’s dog while the dog’s owner ran into a store to purchase dessert
  • Taught someone who didn;t know how to cook how to feed himself by cooking pasta and cutting vegetables
  • Helped someone in my office building move into his new office.
  • Brought my co-worker business cards that he left at the office and needed for a meeting.
  • Picked up multiple coffee cups which were strewn around a public park
  • Sat through an awkward dinner so that my friend would not have to go alone.
  • Gave up my seat for an old man on a bus so that he could sit down.
  • Let my friend borrow my car to get to a job interview
  • I let my friend use my car to run errands that are not metro/ public transportation accessible while I am out of town.
  • Helped someone on crutches up stairs.
  • Gave directions to a lost older woman and then let her tell me about her entire day because she seemed lonely.
